I tried and tried to knit a sweater for my DH, but I failed! lol. I couldn’t find a pattern that he liked and was with in my skill level (beginner). He asked if he could have a lapghan with a head hole. Yes, those are his real words. lol. Here is his poncho. I used Red Hart yarn. Nothing to fancy but it gets the job done. I had to crochet it instead of knit.
Two finished projects!
This was a fast granny square afghan for my DH’s cousin. They asked for camo so that is what they got. I love granny squares for fast projects!
This hat was made on a double ended crochet hook. I used black and a multi colored yarn. I just made a big rectangle, folded it over and seamed it up. This went pretty quickly.
My son’s red hot afghan
I made this afghan for my son. He loves it. I love the colors. So Hot! lol. I used Softee Chunky yarn. It was a bad choice for an afghan. The yarn isn’t holding up well. So at some point I’ll have to make him a new one. I have never had a yarn problem before. I love this yarn, I just don’t think it should be used for large projects.
Baby Afghan
This afghan is one big crochet granny square. I make a lot of these. Mostly because I’m always in a hurry to get them done. I used DK dreamtime yarn. I don’t have the labels any longer so I can’t give you the details on it. I know my bad! It is light weight and very soft. Perfect for snuggling new babies!
Another Blog For Me!
I have been trying to blog on blogger, but it won’t let me! lol. So instead of fighting with it and loosing posts, I’m moving to wordpress. This blog will be for posting all my craft stuff that doesn’t really go anywhere else. I’ll be posting some old projects first cuz I don’t have a camera at the moment for getting pics of my WIPS.
Mad at blogger
I’m getting upset with blogger. Half the stuff isn’t working! I may by closing this down and finding a new blogging site. yuck.
Stamped postcards
Ok here they are. The ‘hello’ card is stamped and then painted. The ‘just a note’ card is stamped and then colored with pencils. These may not be as fancy as some cards but you must keep it simple when creating postcards.
An important thing to always remember is to check your fingers for ink or paint before touching anything! lol. As you can see from the pics, I forgot to do that.
New projects coming
I know I haven’t posted any new projects for a while. I do have some things in the works. I will be making some horse themed wedding invitations for my friends that are getting married on horse back. As soon as my stamps from TAC get here I will be posting those. I bought some make your own postcard paper from the craft store. It is water color paper. My plan is to stamp some images with my TAC stamps and them paint them with my water colors. I will be posting about that too. So keep checking back!
