My husband’s Aunt has cancer. Our whole family is getting together to have a fundraiser for her. Her cancer is in her stomach, lungs, and brain. Her treatments are expensive and she has to drive about 60 miles one way 4 days a week to get them. So I’m calling on all you stampers and scrapers to help us out. I earn about 25% from TAC sales. I have noticed a lot of hits on this blog are looking for info on matching colors. I know that all the color choices in papers, inks, embelishments can make it hard to put things together.

One of the main rules I use is that if you see it in nature the colors look good together. This works with different hues of the same colors also. Some of you may feel more comfortable learning to use a color wheel. Have fun with color, experiment and be bold!

I have been working on getting my photos up on the walls where we can enjoy them. I decided to make some scrapbook style ones. I used canvas board, TAC papers and TAC stamps. I didn’t have a lot of embelisments to use, but I don’t mind. I like things simple. I will be placing these inside frames when I get some. You can use card stock if you don’t want to buy canvas board. I don’t have very nice hand writing so I used my computer for the journaling. These come out very nice and would make great gifts. I will be trying out some more, I think.

Yes, it is that time of year again. I will be heading to my Grandma’s house for Christmas card crazyness. Every year my cousin moves up the date for card making. Last year it was October, this year September. At some point she will be having us make the next years cards the day after christmas. lol. Oh, well. I order some new stamps, papers, and stuff from TAC. I’ll be posting pics of what we make and what ever I decide to demo. I’ll also post instructions if I happend to come up with something cool!
I know for some it is still too early to be thinking Christmas cards, just remember TAC also has great stamps and papers for fall and Halloween.

Here is a little something I have been working on. I haven’t gotten it all the way done yet. The inside is still blank. This pocket is a punch out from TAC’s cardstock punch out sets. I just used the punch out but if you wanted to make more than one you could use the punch out as a template. I used my markers to ink the stamp. I used stamps from The Earth Laughs in Flowers set-T-2116. I used a flower punch out to hold the pocket closed. I glued half of the flower down and left the other half free to hold the pocket closed. To make this pocket look like a little purse you could add a ribbon as a strap. All that is left is to add your message to the inside. I think just using the pocket alone with out adding it to a card makes it so much more fun. These make great invitations to girls night and things like that. When I decide how I’m going to finish it off, I will post about it. Oh, I just thought of how this would make a really cute baby shower invitation! Just stamp it with baby themed stamps and make it look like a diaper bag!
