My Valentine’s Day card

I made this card to give to my DH. I hope he likes it!

Supplies:

Red and white card stock

Red ink ( I used my red impress marker)

Embossing stamp pad

Clear embossing powder

Stamp sets:

curls & swirls (t-2773)

I love you stamp from set T-2144. Words that you like will do.

Cut and fold the red card stock for your card base. I cut the white to be 1 inch smaller than the red on each end. So you will have about a half inch of red showing behind the white. The I stamped the white with a stamp from the curls & swirls set in red. Then on a smaller piece of red card stock I stamped I Love You with my embossing pad and embossed them with clear embossing powder. I didn’t have a hart shaped stamp so I folded a piece of white card stock in half and cut a hart out. I stamped it with a different stamp for the curls & swirls set. I used my heat gun to set the ink so it wouldn’t come off on my embossing pad. Then I pressed the hart into the embossing pad to get it all covered. I used the clear embossing powder on the hart to give it some shine.

You can order all the supplies for this card at my TAC site. These kind of cards don’t have to wait for Valentine’s Day. Show someone you love them on other days too!

Christmas Card

This is the card I made at my card party. We had such a good time. The only bad thing was that my candle demo didn’t turn out! Oh Well.

This card features the TAC poinsettia stamp T-156, TAC card stocks,  Vintage Holiday paper set R-2501 and Fruitcake Kaleidacolor ink set  S-020.

I used chalks from the Basic Brights chalk set A-501 to color the poinsettia. The cards are simple and fun. You could always add ribbons or other embellishments to them.

Each one I made has a different bit from the Vintage Holiday set. It looks more purple one my screen than the card really is. Remember all stamped images are Copyright by The Angel Company.

Getting ready for a card party!

Yes, it is that time of year again. I will be heading to my Grandma’s house for Christmas card crazyness. Every year my cousin moves up the date for card making. Last year it was October, this year September. At some point she will be having us make the next years cards the day after christmas. lol. Oh, well. I order some new stamps, papers, and stuff from TAC. I’ll be posting pics of what we make and what ever I decide to demo. I’ll also post instructions if I happend to come up with something cool!

I know for some it is still too early to be thinking Christmas cards, just remember TAC also has great stamps and papers for fall and Halloween.

Pocket Card or Invitation

Here is a little something I have been working on. I haven’t gotten it all the way done yet. The inside is still blank. This pocket is a punch out from TAC’s cardstock punch out sets. I just used the punch out but if you wanted to make more than one you could use the punch out as a template. I used my markers to ink the stamp. I used stamps from The Earth Laughs in Flowers set-T-2116. I used a flower punch out to hold the pocket closed. I glued half of the flower down and left the other half free to hold the pocket closed.  To make this pocket look like a little purse you could add a ribbon as a strap. All that is left is to add your message to the inside. I think just using the pocket alone with out adding it to a card makes it so much more fun. These make great invitations to girls night and things like that.  When I decide how I’m going to finish it off, I will post about it.  Oh, I just thought of how this would make a really cute baby shower invitation! Just stamp it with baby themed stamps and make it look like a diaper bag!

I’ve added a SOTM page

I have given the Stamp of the Month its own page. This way you can easily find it without having to search through blog posts.

I have also been working on my Secret Admirer idea. I have been trying to put a page together and I having a very hard time getting the paypal buttons to work. I think I may just add the cards to Etsy instead.

So you can’t tell what colors go good together?

My mother would give a big yes to that question. This is another one of the reasons I love TAC. They make putting things together easy. The catalogue is full of great ideas that you can use. The paper sets are beautiful and you can order matching accessories.  For example the Bella Flor paper collection, the matching accessories and ink colors are shown right next to the paper. Easy. No guess work at all. The Mulberry Meadow collection even has matching ribbons! The Angel Company has done a great job in creating an idea/catalogue book that will inspire stampers of all levels and designing products that go together so nicely. I think I love this company more everyday!
